Commissioned by the editors ENTARTET, the multidisciplinary artist Thea Soti developed a radiophonic composition inspired by the exchange of text and voice messages by the artist´s own family, friends and acquaintances. It combines short extracts of her own intimate conversations, poetic reflections and short interviews. The piece aims to explore the connection between intimacy and modern interaction through social media, chat and instant messaging. The focus is on the relationships between private and public, physical and virtual presence, interactivity, togetherness, disunity, self, environment and modern technology.
